Hot on the heels of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I had no idea would be even remotely popular I want to ask a follow up question:
What SUV gets the most crap from the most people?
I know you are all thinking H2...and you could be right...but there are a lot of really questionable wranglers and drivers, Range Rovers are pretty much universally hated in the off road world for their stiff upper crust and a Porsche SUV?! So what do you think? Most hated SUV, SUV driver or SUV makin' brand.

Are we counting the Lexus RX-whatever as an SUV or keeping it in the CUV group.
Regardless, fuck those drivers.

H2, definitely.
Cayenne gets the most crap from a SMALL amount of people.

Mostly because I hate coming over to my moms and trying to find a parking spot when all her friends are over.

Do people still care about the H2?

Yeah, its not well loved except by the people who own or aspire to own one.

I'll nominate my own people. I don't think we are the most hated, but we deserve some!

Not as many as there used to be maybe, but there still seem to be plenty of people who like to rip on it.

It's my number 1 automotive bias...I see one and stay clear if I can help it.
And yet, last Friday, I still almost got run off the road.

I admit to loving the looks of the 1st gen, but yeah.

Escalade's drug dealers, or Jeep owners. God forbid you point out that just because it doesn't have a solid axle, doesn't mean it can't be excellent offroad. Or you point out that Jeep's are Range Rover reliable, just cheaper to fix.

to be fair, they are very hard to drive on the freeway. There is ZERO on center feel and the steering is so assisted it might as well not be connected to the wheels. Its a constant battle to stay in the lane AND you can't see worth a damn out of them.

I'll keep that in mind as I swear my head off next time I almost end up in a ditch.

You know, its true. If there is one group that can't take a joke, its these guys.

pro tip: keep out of their substaintial blind spots (i.e. anything other than 180 degrees in front of the car.

That's the worse part...it's typically them coming to pass me, forgetting they did then suddenly going to change lanes into me.
-_-

I have to say the H2 is almost universally hated by enthusiasts, environmentalists, and people with good taste. I honestly can't think of the last time I heard someone actually DEFEND an H2.

I don't have much stock in the whole "image" thing, though the styling sure bugs me.

I hadn't seen that column before. I'll give you credit on the mechanicals. It sounds like it was well thought out, especially with the off-road packages. But the two things that are sinking it are the exterior design and the people who bought them. I know the buyers don't directly effect the actual vehicle, but it certainly lead to an extraordinary amount of hate. Until enough time has passed to forget about the mouthbreathers that bought these things new, the H2 is going to take a disproportionate amount of criticism.
